This video shows a Laparoscopic Duodeno performed at The Mother and Child Hospital at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver.
This procedure was performed by Dr. Steven Rothenberg on a 38-week male, 3 days old, with a prenatal diagnosis of trisomy 21 (Down's syndrome) and duodenal atresia based on prenatal ultrasound. At birth, the baby was also noted to have an imperforate anus. Post-natal evaluation confirmed the diagnosis of duodenal atresia (“Double Bubble” on an abdominal x ray). His weight was 2.5 kg.
